About PureCook

PureCook is the online home of a family cookware shop that has served Lucknow for more than 30 years.

Where we started

My father has run our cookware shop in Alambagh, Lucknow, for over three decades. Families from the neighbourhood have bought their kadais, tawas and everyday utensils from him for years, and many still come back when their children set up their own kitchens.

Over those years we saw a big change in Indian kitchens. Non-stick pans arrived, and so did their problem: the coating wears off, and the pan has to be replaced every year or two. More and more customers started asking us for the cookware their parents used, cast iron and clay, that has no coating and lasts for years.

Why we came online

I am Sumit, and I started PureCook to take what my father has done in one Lucknow market to homes across India. Our shop could only serve people who could walk in. PureCook lets a family in Assam, Kerala or Gujarat buy the same honest cookware, with the same advice we give at the counter.

What we sell

Cast iron cookware: kadai, dosa tawa, roti tawa, fry pan, appe pan and combos, pre-seasoned and ready to use
Clay cookware: handis and water bottles for slow cooking and naturally cool water

Every product is one we would use in our own kitchen. We source directly from manufacturers, check each piece at our shop, and pack and dispatch every order ourselves from Lucknow.
